Created in 1993 by Thom van Pul, the Thomas Fleurs Group specialises in the wholesale of cut-flowers to professional florists.The modern distribution centres (Cash & Carry’s) are situated in close proximity to major cities throughout the South of France, with 6 impressive sales platforms in France: Avignon, Hyères, Nancy, Montpellier, Clermont Ferrand, Marseille and Grenoble and in 1 Spain: in Barcelona.

His knowledge of the requirements and practices of the profession have allowed Thom van Pul to continually innovate in his field by creating the first wholesale online cut-flower boutique for professionals and by launching the unique concept of patented living plant art : Wallflower.

Listed on the Paris Marché Libre stockmarket since October 2006, the Thomas Fleurs group is an industry-leader and today counts among the principal French leaders in its sector.

His commercial strategy is based on the creation of Cash & Carry sales platforms, exclusively reserved for professional florists. By purchasing cut-flowers directly in the heart of the flower industry from 5 auction centres (1 French: the flower market Flora Provence, 3 Dutch and 1 German), the business is able to offer its clients an extremely large choice in cut-flowers from all over the world. Nearly 70% of purchases are made in the Netherlands and 30% in France, Italy, Spain, Africa, South America….

Carefully selected according to quality, the flowers are delivered 2 to 3 times a week directly from the auctions to the different Thomas Fleurs sales platforms. The flowers are then stocked and conserved at a temperature of around 6°, to guarantee optimal freshness.

To guarantee high quality service, Thomas Fleurs also disposes of tropical refrigerated cells unique in France. Due to the optimal conditions of conservation, we guarantee that all our flowers, including our tropicals, have the same longevity and radiance as a freshly cut flower.”

In addition to cut-flowers, each Thomas Fleurs Cash & Carry also offers:
• accessories and decoration to conserve, embellish or decorate floral compositions via a partner business
• a sales space for natural plants, managed directly by the Thomas Fleurs group or by a partner business.

A major takeover in 2008 led to a merger of Thomas Fleurs with its supplier, Gouverneur & Co BV. This powerful wholesale export company based at the FloraHolland Dutch flower auctions has platforms at 2 of the big auction centers: Naaldwijk and Rijnsburg.
This merger presents a significant step in the development of the Thomas Fleurs Group in Europe, creating a strong market position with the consolidated buying power of the outlets.
